The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to form the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on next week.
